Lots of roads flooded in the Penzance-St Ives area of west Cornwall with some rural roads impassable. Reports of the small local river in Heamoor overflowing into the village.

Not to be selfish, but I’m in London for a few days on vacation from Canada and this huge march/rally is going on today. I’m not sure I can do any regular sightseeing because the crowds and the location of the two marches. Annoying!

Yesterday, I attended Evensong at Westminster Abbey. What an experience! We sat near where the Queen sat at W&C’s wedding. The service included prayers for the RF, including Prince William & the Princess of Wales. Highly recommended! The choir 🤩 #CatherinePrincessOfWales

I hate compromise. Planning a trip with friends & it was going to be Croatia. But one couple just suggested a riverboat cruise on the Danube instead & everyone else has said yes. It does not appeal to me at all. But at the same time, I don’t want to miss out! Ugh, dilemma.

I just rewatched the wedding of Charles & Diana &. It surprised me that she wore her veil over her face for so long & that her dad stayed by her side for so long during the ceremony. Her dress was truly awful. I was impressed by how well Sarah Chatto managed that huge train.
