The full plaque in place with a huge thanks to everyone involved and especially Manchester Central and the team.
Great to attend the The Watkin Society blue plaque unveiling at Manchester Central for Absalom & Edward Watkin. This will serve as a permanent commemoration of these two great social reformers who did so much for Northenden, Manchester & beyond. Well done to Geoff, Andrew & all involved

Nice to be present at the 125th Anniversary of Marylebone station it was special on a personal level as it was largely due to my ancestor Sir Edward Watkin who created it, my nannan Ida Watkin would have been so proud It was good to see Geoff from The Watkin Society in attendance
