Teachers who are on strike in WV pooled their money together to make sure the 67% of kids who get free lunches will still get fed. 67% of kids in an American state shouldn’t have food insecurities. $20 billion on a wall but can’t help feed our kids. Get out of here

A second meeting is being held today to clarify plans for the walkout, all updates will be posted here as soon as they are solidified. This is happening, this needs to happen!

Would you be interested in standing silent in the commons, writing YOUR reason for walking out on a piece of tape to be placed over your mouth to symbolize our silence. We will take off the tape, and in doing so, we will refuse to remain silent on issues that affect us.

We have organized plans to hold a workshop type event in April to teach students ways to get their voices heard, registering to vote, writing to senators, possible lessons on gun safety/mental health awareness, etc. From here on out, we will not let our voices go unheard.

We are up and coming adults, we must learn how to stand up for what we believe in and learn how to make a change. March 14th, gather in the commons to stand together, to stand with Stoneman Douglas, to stand for for peace and love. We are the future of this world!
