The WA Grains Group Situation report was presented in Canberra last month, and while these numbers are no surprise to farmers, we hope it is a wake up call for those leaders who are making decisions that further reduce farm profitability, & continue to threaten our food security.

"Don't bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind a lot lately. With many food producers feeling like its not just their hands getting bitten. We are not calling for subsidies, we are calling for excessive costs imposed on all grain growers to be dropped. Including this ⬇️.

WA Grains Group Chair Alastair Falconer commended the organizers of the #KeepTheSheep rally, emphasizing that the rally’s significance extended beyond mere politics, & was of greater benefit to the mental health of farming communities than anything the government has provided.

The WA Grains Group proudly spoke in support of the live export sector at the inquiry into the Export Control Amendment (Ending Live Sheep Exports by Sea) Bill 2024 held today at Muresk. We welcome a reversal of this decision and the support of the agriculture sector!
