Mr M, was part of the largest and most significant elephant translocation in human history. from Liwonde to Nkhotakota. However, shortly afterwards he decided to leave there and has found himself in Thuma.

Camera trapping gold @mammalweb Charles Taylor one of the elephant bulls meets up with an owl! Charles is not seen very often, so its great to get this photo of him. We can identify him as he has only one tusk and his ears are very ragged.

Meet Dibble&Nibble,2 orphaned hedgehogs handed in by a local boy. They were very very small & in stepped 3 young wildlife hero's, Emma,Lucas and Alex Almeida who cared and fed them until they were big enough to release. Both have been released back to Thuma Hugh Warwick

A team of rangers today completed what is probably the longest elephant drive back done on foot, in Malawi's history. Earlier in the week, a group of five elephants were spotted 50km from the boundary of Thuma Forest Reserve, in the Bwanje Valley in Ntcheu.

thrilled to see the resident Southern ground hornbill have gone from 2 to 5 here at Thuma! In South Africa they're listed as endangered due to decreasing population size so we'll be keeping a close eye on them.
