School committee member Mingquan Zheng says that he feels "very confident" in the budget and what it will allow for the future.

School Committee member Kathryn Clear: "This is a year to start afresh." She stresses that Westford is a rich educational district, as well as that the budget is apart of a larger community discussion in the future.

School committee member Valery Young @vlyoung0: "Seeing what decisions we have talked about gives me the trust that [...] we are making decisions that aren't just reactive".

Clery says that she understands concerns and the difficulty with cutting positions and reading interventionists. However, she says that there must be a balance in preserving quality of education and being fiscally responsible.

The FY23 budget proposal has passed unanimously.
