And just like that, MINAR XI is complete! 🌌 To everyone who visited, we hope you achieved everything you set out to achieve. We loved hearing about the amazing science you do, and we hope to see you again soon. Same time next year? 🤖 (📷: University of Oxford, University of York )
The not so little UAV flying inside the #Hackathon in side Institute for Safe Autonomy building mine. Organised for the ASUMI Victoria Hodge Richard Hawkins project as part of @AAIP_York
During Hackathon a team from University of Oxford, University of York visited Boulby Underground Laboratory - the deepest scientific unit in the UK. We gathered data for future work and had a lot of fun working in unique conditions of Potash mine 🔩⛏️⚙️
🚨 New article: Medical practitioner perspectives on AI in emergency triage. We interview ED practitioners and analyse the benefits and challenges for an AI-supported healthcare solution, with @AAIP_York UoY Computer Science UKRI TAS Hub frontiersin.org/journals/digit…
If you want to know more about ASUMI Hackathon now you can look at our promo video: youtube.com/watch?v=PNUgwN… and read the blog: york.ac.uk/assuring-auton… @AAIP_York Oxford Robotics Institute UoY Computer Science Institute for Safe Autonomy
Flying the @AAIP_York UAV autonomously in the Institute for Safe Autonomy Lab. Nearly there; just needs the localisation tweaking to stabilise its flight better.
Our scary UAV is finally flying autonomously in doors and it is SATBLE! Currently it just flys to one spot but still 🦋 we are also able to land it remotely. Thanks to Calum and Victoria Hodge Lets see if we can create a flight plan now @AAIP_York UoY Computer Science Institute for Safe Autonomy
Great day last Friday at the First Lego League Robot Challenge FIRST LEGO League UK and Ireland in York with @AAIP_York, UoY Computer Science and Lord Deramore's. Huge thanks to BoschGlobal, University of York and The Institution of Engineering and Technology for organising, we really enjoyed it.
🚨 New publication in PLoS One (PLOS ONE) from UoY School of Physics, Engineering and Technology and UoY Computer Science: Real-time 3D tracking of swimming microbes using digital holographic microscopy and deep learning. We can rapidly identify pathogens using microscopy and ML. doi.org/10.1371/journa…
The Institute for Safe Autonomy Husky out in the wild for the ASPEN project with Centre for Assuring Autonomy. ASPEN aims to maintain the health of trees by using robotics and AI to find and identify pests and diseases.
Yesterday at Institute for Safe Autonomy Centre for Assuring Autonomy we managed to successfully retrieve a three sample with the use of UAV and DeLeaves tool as part of ASPEN project. This was organised by Calum Imrie and Victoria Hodge and UAV operators were Daniel Marfiewicz-Dickinson and James Hilder Congrats! 🪽
2024 York Festival of Ideas demo for ASPEN project Centre for Assuring Autonomy in Institute for Safe Autonomy where we show safety risks while using multiple platform autonomous operations.
