My kids have been learning all about Indigenous Culture. We practiced our own sharing circle and learned all about the Buffalo. Today we talked about ikimmapiiyipitsi - compassion, we connected with nature and we were so excited to see our work in the window!

My kiddos learned all about Peace and Remembrance Day today. We read “I am Peace” by Susan Verde and illustrated by our favorite @peterhreynolds. We made some poppies and talked about what peace means to them! These kiddos blow my mind every day!

We have been learning a lot about labels. Today, my kinders helped me label this dog… I think they did a pretty good job with their kid spelling! I am so proud of them! My heart is full!

My kinders had so much fun today during Indigenous Day! We watched the Tipi Ceremony, learned about drumming, played traditional games, painted rocks, learned Blackfoot words, and listened to Napi stories. We ended the day by participating in the Pow Wow!
