A cold NW wind today & Saturday. Onshore snow off Fundy & Gulf; likely covering some roads in eastern NS-PEI (see pics). Storm passes south of NS Sunday; snow develops over SW in morning (10-20+cm). May just reach Halifax in aftn (model consensus 2-4cm). Wed: snow to rain & wind.

Nasty storm Wed; warnings across the region. Snow starts in am then an icy mix to rain at times heavy. Strong SE winds; some gusts 100+ causing outages & high coastal waves. Heaviest snow NB & Victoria Co CB; heaviest rain Mainland NS. Poor driving and air & sea travel impacts.

Weekend snow totals: a few comments. 1. The 150cm CoCoRaHS Canada observation in CBRM is closer to citizen's reports (than the 86cm at YQY). 2. HRM (30cm west, 50+cm east) seems more representative than the 85cm at YHZ. 3. Pictou L observer had drifting on snowboard. 4. Thanks
