After a solid start to my JV season where I was able to swipe 24 bags in the first 8 games, I got the Nod for Varsity! First 4 games, 3 hits and a Walk. 1 start at first ( with a few nasty picks!) And 3 in LF. Fun group of dudes and can’t wait for the weather to stay warm!

An outside pitch driven down the right field line for a 3 bagger, a center cut heater sent over the LF for a pair, and a diving stab at 1st. Never gets old flashing the leather!

Here are 2 big highlights from my sophomore varsity season. Under the lights with rain and wind. I was able to make the diving catch in LF at the Dockhounds Stadium. The other was a triple to the RC gap at UWW field. Really going to miss the senior class- bunch of good dudes!

Big thanks to Greg Riddell for giving me the opportunity to make an impact on varsity this season. In 17 games, hit .308 BA with a .460 OBP. I was also able to swipe 9 bags.

A good start to my Midwest Halos career. Currently 6-2 with a solid group of guys. All 14 have already shown they can ball out- I can already tell this will be a fun and competitive summer. Collected 12 hits mixing in 5XB (3 triples). Next 3 weeks will be @ the Rock Franklin WI.

Although the weekend didn’t turn out as we hoped, we battled every game! I was able to collect a 3 hit game against a tough Indy National Team, with a double and a triple. I was also able to swipe another bag which brings my season total to 11.

19 games into my Halos summer, Hitting .422 ,with 27 hits. Mixing in 8 Xb hits (4 doubles , 4 triples).11 stolen bases with 22 runs. Have had multiple days over 100 degrees in the “Sweat Lab” this summer. (Highest temp was over 109) #noexcuses Midwest Halos Matt Riser
