I was thinking the exact same thing. Such a tragedy for so many families right now.

I understand the anger, desire for vengeance, and deterrent show of force. However, for the sake of this man’s father, who did the right thing and turned his own flesh and blood over to the authorities, tearing his heart in two, please consider his parents this mercy.

Some on the left are angry, struggling to process humility, shame, guilt, or grief, & view those who evoke these emotions as aggressors. Yet, these feelings can foster maturity, empathy, compassion, & perseverance, often from love. An example: Parents rebuke out of love not hate.

The more I listen to Christians like Charlie, the more I see proof of the Holy Spirit. People from diverse backgrounds suddenly sharing the same ideas, concerns, and goals on many topics. It’s obvious we’re being guided by the same spirit, not by mere chance.

I was getting tired… but God encouraged me to keep going.
