The most recent 2023 Class Commitments list published by Marcus Helton has 42 D1 MBB commitments in DMV, 13 of which didn’t play HS locally & several of which are walking on. With more than 150 high schools & many AAU teams, a lot of D1 delusion among kids and parents in DMV.

So many kids and parents in DMV turning down D2/D3opportunities because they have either been sold a lie or they have no idea how good you have to be for D1 scholly. Being good isn’t enough. You need to be in top 5% or better in entire DMV. Transfer portal makes it even harder.

Unfortunately, we will have to cancel our DMV Academic Showcase on September 9, 2023 at Boys Latin due to unforeseen facilities issues. We will reschedule this event for Spring 2024. We will be contacting all those who registered to arrange for refunds. Thanks for your support.
