An elegantly written article from our youngest contributor to 'A Country of Her Making', and a valuable contribution to breaking the historiographic marginalisation of Muslim women. Celebrating its publication with Mytheli Sreenivas.

This is a great article that goes simply beyond the history of the passport to think about who the ideal Indian migrant was. I learned a lot from it.

Grateful for yet another review. Its good to know that the book has its own life, beyond the angst of the writer and the writing process.
