During Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, we recognize our member institutions for their support of Hispanic heritage students. Four out of seven TSUS institutions are Hispanic-Serving, with at least 25% Hispanic full-time undergraduates, and three are Emerging HSIs. #HSIWeek

We are pleased to announce the THRC Director, Dr. Melinda Villagran, has received a $1M grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency. The grant provides specialized training to agencies in reporting mental health issues to the public.

The Division of Research supporting amazing researchers at the Health Scholar Showcase hosted by the Translational Health Research Center. Dr. Karriem Watson, Chief Engagement Officer of the NIH All of Us Research Program, gave an insightful keynote speech.

College of Fine Arts & Communications Research Administrators Matthew Winn & Meredith Williams and Monica Swift (OSP) hosted the first Speed Networking event for Research Administrators across campus. The event initiated connections with researcher administrators across campus.

The Division of Research attended the College of Education event—Building STEM Education Capacity & Impact through HSIs and MSIs—featuring keynote speaker Dr. James Moore, III, National Science Foundation Assistant Director for the NSF STEM Education Directorate (EDU).
