I spent some afternoon scrutinizing vote counting in Juan de Fuca - Malahat today. My observations: 1. All the Election Officers took their jobs extremely seriously and understood the importance of their work. 2. The ballot boxes were secure, sealed, and handled carefully

I've been unable to find time to submit an expense report (to get reimbursed) for a trip I made almost a month ago until today. But my online banking system is offline today, and I need some info from there to do it. I guess it'll have to wait another month...

It's kind of amazing to be able to say I've now eaten dinner with two Nobel Prize winners (in different fields), & had drinks with a third. (Also ridden in the car of a fourth, but it was not their car by that point in time.) Not bad for a kid from small town BC.
