“…the system is not broken, it’s delivering exactly what it was built to deliver: a car-dependent society. To deliver something different, we must first decide to build differently.” Have you decided?

Another good article. It’s important to diagnose the problem as well as come up with solutions. It may be a trap, but it’s not impossible to get out of. Individual actions add up, and the collective power of the people can lead to change 💪🏾💪🏻💪🏼

So River of Life is for cars now? For many Malaysians, life without a car is unthinkable. Even on a riverside path nearby the urban centre.

“Here, the car doesn’t just dominate mobility. It dominates the imagination. Public space isn’t designed to be enjoyed, but endured.” So true. Can we start to think differently about our cities 🇲🇾? There is so much potential to work with. 🏞️🌃🌏🙋🏻‍♀️🚲🌴🚸🌿👵🏽🚈🏃🏻‍♂️🚊🚎👦🏾🛴🕊️

Cycling is a smart and practical way to get to your nearest LRT or MRT station. Don’t just take my word for it.I put it to the test by riding there with my youngest son, Yu Le, by my side. Cycling is more than just a weekend pastime, let’s make it a real, everyday mobility choice

How highways make everything in the city farther. The actual distance is only few hundred meters but we need to go over much longer route, and with no walking path, due to blocking highways in the city. 📍Damansara Perdana

We built the rail. But where’s the city? ‘in 🇲🇾, our agencies operate separately, with separate incentives & separate budgets …Instead of unlocking the full potential of public transport, we leave that value on the table.’ Unpicking this issue is of the utmost urgency.

If you rely on Kelana Jaya LRT during weekend mornings, take note of engineering work that will shift first train timings from the usual 06:00 to 09:00 from next month onwards Bus bridging services will operate during the LRT downtime until first trains resume operations

What used to be just an informal footpath to Sri Delima MRT is now a safe and proper walkway! This is proof that when residents and politicians team up, real change can happen. 🙌 Special thanks to Carmen Leong and the local community for making the journey safer for everyone!
