This week’s drought monitor shows scattered degradations and improvements across the country. Drought conditions improved slightly across the Southeast and the Plains, as well as Oregon, Montana and New Mexico. Conditions degraded in the Rockies, the South and the Northeast.

The USDA has confirmed the flash sale of 315,488 MT of corn sold to Mexico. Of the total, 20,830 MT are for the 2024/25 marketing year and 294,658 MT are for 2025/26.

The latest #DroughtMonitor map showed a rapid expansion of drought conditions in the Mid-South and Southeast over the past week. Storms focused primarily in the Canadian Prairies also swept through the Northern Plains, improving conditions for northern Montana and North Dakota.

US #soybean crush among NOPA members totaled 195.7 million bushels in July, up 7% from a year ago. YTD crush for the marketing year reached 2.11 bb, up 4.7% from the previous season. Soybean oil inventories totaled 1.38 billion pounds, down 8% from a year ago and a 21-year low.
