We’ve lost a precious gem, Sayed Talay. A bright young man with a most beautiful, gentle soul, always smiling, always cheerful, witty and intelligent. A dedicated waqf. He was martyred doing what he loved; serving jamaat, serving humanity. Your name will always live on.

The poem ‘a flower of Hartlepool’ featured in this was written by our 4th Caliph in memory of Dr. Hameed Khan; Taalay’s grandfather and brother Abid Khan’s father. I think how fitting, that those verses suit our Taalay down to every word. Poem can be found in Kalame Tahir.

Tawqeer Mirza I can still recall when it was first sang on MTA. How beautifully fitting, indeed, the words are for S. Taalay Ahmed.
