Even with the holiday, there’s no change to your trash and recycling collection! All Star will operate on a normal schedule throughout Memorial Day weekend. That means if your pickup day is Monday, it’s still Monday. We wish you all a safe and meaningful Memorial Day!

All Town facilities will close at 3PM on 5/23. The Clayton Community Center will remain open & all scheduled programming will continue as planned. This closure will help reduce congestion near Town Hall due to Clayton HS’s graduation at 5PM & provide additional parking for event.

Town of Clayton facilities will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. We owe so much to those who have given their lives to serve our country. The Town expresses gratitude, respect, and honor for the sacrifice of all who protect our freedom.

The sculpture titled "Oh Deer" by Joe Coates of Durham, NC is now on the Clayton Sculpture Trail! Made of stainless steel, it reflects light & captures the alertness of a deer. Inspired by mini figurines Joe once gifted, this installation is now brought to life in a big way.

At tonight's Council Meeting, June 2025 was proclaimed LGBT+ Pride Month. This was presented to the JoCo NC Pride Board. Then June 6, 2025 was proclaimed National Gun Violence Awareness Day, which was presented to the JoCo Chapter of Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America.
