The first time l met Sonny Rollins was in Buffalo. l shared with him that l had hosted "Artistry in Jazz" since '82 on WGMC. I couldn't have asked for a cooler autograph! Little did l know, l would introduce Sonny to stage the 2nd year of our jazz fest! I am so grateful...

I totally love this photo of Rochester's legendary Joe Romano & James Moody!!! It was taken in Las Vegas, I'm thinking in the early 70's... Both saxophonists had tremendous respect for each other!
