Today's #tourdefrance2024 results reminds me that I can be proud to be British. Let's hope that tomorrow's #GeneralElections2024 results also allows me the same sense of pride.

Yesterday I rode L'Étape du Tour de France as hard as I could. It nearly broke me but I made it. In 2 weeks time, the pros will ride it 2x as fast as I did, after having ridden similar stages for 19 days already. They have my utmost respect. Proper athletes.

Great thread about SDT. It also provoked thought about the importance of *perceived* competence; IMO, a good coach helps the coachee design measures to notice the impact of their improving competence. Which is of course hard in a wicked learning environment like the classroom.

Update on the picnic situation. Unfortunately Julia’s list didn’t include “Put rolls in picnic bag, you muppet”. So I, er, left them in the fridge.

Is there anyone out there in #edutwitter or #twittereps who has read Nuthall’s Hidden Lives of Learners and can help me understand a confusion I have? I can’t equate his “need to encounter information at least 3 times” with his A + A + A + A formula (i.e., 4 times). Thanks.
