This growing Ellison media empire threatens what @thefp claims to champion in its name. But Bari Weiss was correct in identifying and calling out ideological excesses (that I myself indulged in) of 2014-2022 and social media echo chambers. She has my respect even in disagreement.

This is totally outrageous use of university money. No serious university should be paying $49 million for a college football coach, much less for the purposes of simply not coaching.

Can we get to a quarter billion dollars in buyouts for 2025? Franklin (PSU): $48M Napier (UF): $19M —- Riley (USC): $80M Kelly (LSU): $53M Fickel (UW): $25M Freeze (Auburn): $15M Idea: Just take this money and pay the other team’s players to lose!

📸Behind this breathtaking shot of Hungary’s opposition rally marking the 1956 uprising: Viktor Orbán’s gov't banned drones to try conceal the crowd’s size. Yet a passenger on a landing plane caught the scene in Budapest from above — the photo hit Reddit and went viral instantly.

Cringe worthy. Tone deaf. Mamdani is about to be elected because he actually sought to understand what voters wanted (affordability). And his opponent sexually harassed 13+ women. I tip my cap to the DSA bunch. Sometimes your side needs to lose an election to get better.

Pope Leo has called for “deep reflection” on the treatment of migrants in the United States. Speaking to journalists in Castel Gandolfo, just outside Rome, the Pope said that “many people who have lived for years and years” in the US, “never causing problems”, are “deeply

This is a totally insufficient statement that accepts as incontrovertible the insane pension costs taxpayers are saddled with, avoiding any mention of a “grand bargain” referendum or a constitutional convention in 2030. There are no other paths toward fiscal sustainability.
