I’m a Black woman who happens to be a registered dietitian. But right now, I could not care less about food, nutrition & dismantling diet culture. All I can think about is survival. My own and my people’s. All I can do is process this trauma & grief. I’m exhausted.

I can’t imagine how my academic trajectory may have changed if I had a nutrition course like this in undergrad. My hope is that more dietetic & nutrition programs adopt a weight-inclusive lens or at the very least, make it a course requirement.
