On the #baobab #planetree theme, here's another #thicktrunktuesday contender. Less famous than the Canterbury "baobabs" yet suitably proportioned, it's tucked behind the fence of the Japanese School #Acton. Paul Wood 🌳 introduced us during his recent #tree #walk in London 🌳💚
Our next events with Helen Castor Rory Cellan-Jones Pierre Koffmann plus come for a walk with Paul Wood 🌳 on 12th October. Anyone else excited about Intermezzo by Sally Rooney? We're partnering with Faber Books to celebrate publication on Tuesday. - mailchi.mp/village-books/…
#thicktrunktuesday normally calls for a London #planetree, doesn't it? 😊 I met this hardworking burly fellow in Ealing during a recent tree walk led by Paul Wood 🌳. Hope you think it's well proportioned for this occasion 🌳💚 #streettrees
“People reacted to the felling like it was something of themselves they’d lost" 🌳😢 Tree expert and author, Paul Wood Paul Wood 🌳, reflects on the #SycamoreGap felling in this week’s edition of The Brief hosted by Sahiba Chadha 🎧 shows.acast.com/opencity/episo…
Paul Wood 🌳 Grand old sycamores are one of the most majestic trees I see in Britain, like this one in north Lancashire.
Paul Wood 🌳 My favourite Sycamores with 8 or 9 stems beside the optimistically named Via Devana Roman Road where it crosses a stream at Middle of the World aka Mark's Grave near #Cambridge. Looking like they were once pollarded or maybe part of a hedge.
We've added two new events to our programme! Join us for a walk around Dulwich Village with Paul Wood 🌳. And on #BookshopDay too! We're also so pleased that CHURCH GOING with Andrew Ziminski FSA & SPAB 🇺🇦 will be visiting JAGS to discuss his latest book Church Going - mailchi.mp/village-books/…
