Today, we welcomed Dr Mike Beer from Exeter Uni to YFPS, to see our Latin lessons in action. Dr. Beer, who works for ‘Classics for All’, and has provided training for staff, was very impressed with the children’s enthusiasm for Latin, and the application of their knowledge.

Our rationale for including Latin in our curriculum is that is helps children understand how language develops, and ultimately supports vocabulary acquisition & literacy. We are also passionate about inclusive education, where everyone benefits from ambitious opportunities.
