Travelling by Train to our Open Day? Buses depart Ormskirk Bus Stn at 1005, 1035 then 05&35 past each hour. All Ormskirk buses connect with Merseyrail services to Lpool. Burscough Bridge Stn service connects with Northern rail services from 1030 from Wigan, Manchester & Blackburn

2019 marks the 50 years since the formation of the MPTE, the running day will have a thene of routes from this era all departing from Pier Head Mann Island, with visiting Ribble and Crosville buses from our friends at Wirral Transport Museum, RVPT & NWVRT, plus others

The wooden aisle strips have now been fitted to the lower deck (excluding the access hatch to the gearbox) of PD2 L161 and a start has been made to the ones for the upper deck. Merry christmas to all members, friends, and followers of the Merseyside Transport Trust!

Free vintage bus rides from Ormskirk Bus Station on Sunday 17th April. Services start from the Bus Station at 11am and run until approx 4pm. All services are free & a souvenir guide containing the timetable & vehicle allocation will be available on the day priced at £4 each.
