Sick of bigots using the terms ‘indoctrination’ and ‘gender ideology’ to talk about important concepts. Talking about pronouns is a grammar concept and talking about different families and sexualities is social studies. All in the curriculum. Also I doubt there’s much depth.

If your child did come out to you as trans, or even was debating their gender identity, would you accept that? And love them for who they are, even if you don’t believe in the ‘trans ideology?’ If the answer is no, maybe you don’t deserve to know your kid is trans.

Let’s say the comment wasn’t explicitly homophobic. It’s basically a degree of separation away from it and definitely inappropriate to be said. An apology should be given at the least.
