Today, U.S. Surgeon General, @SelenaGomez, and I met 30 young leaders who are advocating for more mental health support in their local communities. With the hope that their journeys will inspire others, I am sharing a few of their stories.

As we honor our fallen heroes, we are grateful for the future they made possible for us and rededicate ourselves to seeking enduring peace. They gave their lives for our country, and they live forever in our hearts — forever proud, forever honorable, and forever American.

I'd planned to stop by the Capitol and visit families fighting to pass burn pits legislation. COVID got in the way, so I FaceTimed them and sent some pizza. It’s our sacred obligation to care for our veterans. I won’t stop fighting alongside them to get this bill passed.

We'll never be able to repay the debt we owe to those who have worn the uniform, but today, Congress delivered on a promise to our veterans and their families. The PACT Act will be the biggest expansion of VA health care in decades. We should all take pride in this moment.

Congress has passed the PACT Act, a critical step towards fulfilling our sacred obligation to care for our veterans and their families.

Today is long overdue, but we got it done together. The Heath Robinson PACT Act is the law of the land. And for veterans and military families, today represents hope that our vets get better care – faster – when they return home.
