The version of Al we have built so far consists only of extremely complex sets of dominoes that can fall with unpredictable results. Negative results are a self-fulfilling prophecy. When we focus on the fear of self-destruction, the dominoes fall in that direction.

By referring to LLMs as AI, we’ve created a growing problem. AI suggests some form of “intelligence” (in the name!) And so by referring to “AI tools” (that are LLM tools!) many assume we’re talking about this. But LLMs are not behaving like we expect “intelligence” to do so.
