I’m reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought me here, particularly the work I do with communities through Teach For Malaysia (TFM). My career has taken me across various sectors—from media to international development and diplomacy. But it was when I joined TFM that

I felt I was truly doing what I was meant to do in the nation-building space. As the Head of Adult Mobilisation, I’ve had the privilege of working with passionate individuals and communities across Malaysia, all united by a common goal: to empower our children through education.

In my role, I’ve seen the extraordinary power of communities when they come together to support our schools and our students. From parents who themselves have step up as role models to local leaders who advocate for better educational opportunities, it’s clear that when adults in

a community are mobilized, the ripple effects can transform entire generations. This is why I’m running the KLSCM—to raise funds for the work we do at TFM, ensuring that every child in Malaysia has access to the education and opportunities they deserve. But more than that, I’m
