Not unusual to be hot in August, but it has been a little while since we had a heat advisory. Just know today will feel hot& sticky. A few lucky locations find some relief from a shower. We keep the daily chance of afternoon storms through the weekend, but not a washout each day.

Got a few games this evening, and these afternoon storms will help some of us with the temperature for sure! Most of the lightning threat will be over by 7 pm. Still hot on Friday, and there's still a chance of some more storms.

Better coverage of light rain tomorrow. Some pockets of heavier rain are possible south of I-20. Not an all day soaking rain, but enough rain to where it will be a nuisance for your outdoor plans. Cold front moves through Saturday and then we feel like fall Sunday morning!

Spotty light rain showers last into the evening. A front moves in tomorrow gradually clearing the sky. There is an isolated rain chance along the front, but many are dry. Dry air rushes in behind the front dropping Sunday morning lows into the 50s! That will feel very refreshing!
