For those attending #IBC2024, grab some Philippine Rafflesia photo cards and stickers when you visit my posters at the Plenary & Posters Exhibit (Hall 10). Please take photos & use the #RafflesiaPH so we can see them! Thanks to International Association for Plant Taxonomy IAPT, IBC2024 & University of the Philippines for the support!

Last day plenary at #IBC2024 is by Beverley J. Glover (Beverley Glover) who will bring us the wonders of the evolution of petals iridescence. She begin with a study in Antirrhinum where it was shown that conical cells enhance flower color and insect grip. (1/6)

Thank you #IBC2024 not only for allowing me to give a talk on my PhD work but also for the opportunity to visit Madrid (and celebrate my birthday in Spain) 🌱🌸🇪🇸

Just leaving Madrid exhausted after #XXIBC. Two very busy weeks, many old contacts and new friends.  Astonishing with #Botany and #Botanists, as always in IBCs. In favour of the Madrid Declaration

Had such a blast presenting at #IBC2024, listening to a humongous range of talks, and meeting old and new friends. The cherry on top was travelling through Spain and actually experiencing the Mediterranean biome which I had only read and imagined about until now. Was so fun (1/3)

The heavy rains that have fallen in recent weeks in the Namibia Desert in Africa have caused one of the most spectacular natural phenomena, the flowering of millions of lilies that for tens of kilometers have covered the sandy soil that has dried completely for three years.
