Ode to my sideburns: The shampoo is under the sink, the hair dryer gathers dust, the razor is rusted. And yet, one last square inch of hair remains - All Hail my Sideburns. No amount of chemo can budge them. My tiny patch of hope, tenacity and determination. #SideburnStrong

Today is my surgery. I get a new little baby stoma and it’s gonna save my life. Pretty incredible, innit? Thanks to all of you who have helped me so far, I appreciate it. So, do like Liam Gallagher and give cancer the big 2 finger salute for me today.

An update, not what I hoped, but what I got. Still liable to cry like a leaky tap but just a determined to survive this aggressive, unrelenting cancer. Keep me in your thoughts please.

The first day of Spring is also Iranian New Year. No Ruz Mobarak! Happy New Year!

I am very down right now, having moved from curable to palliative. I’m going to miss Liam and John 😭. Immunotherapy starts Thursday. Please send me your good wishes, I need them.

Update: I started radiation oncology today to treat the extreme pain in my pelvis from metastasis. I’m also having immunotherapy to treat liver and lymph node metastasis. It’s been tough but it seems to be working slowly. Thanks to everyone for their support

A Quick Update: I am gravely ill with an abscess and have been hospitalized most of the past month. My excellent treatment team is doing their best to help me. I’m exhausted but still persistent. Love to you all and thanks for your support.

This is Susan’s daughter. We are sad to announce that Susan’s brave fight with cancer came to an end last night. She passed at home with her family by her side, listening to Oasis. This is a difficult time for all of us, but she is finally at peace.
