“Oh, it was definitely for your mouth.” Peggy teased, a brow raising slightly. “It would be wrong of me not to try and steer you in the right direction after all.”

Her lips tugged into a small grin. “Only because you were polite, my plan will now self-destruct.”

Her lips formed a small pout. “I trust that you’ll heal, perhaps even quicker with sugar.” She offered him a bite of the donut, a soft smirk appearing.

He certainly wasn’t forced to say this, by the way. That would be absurd.

“I’ve had better.”

“Self-destructing at a small challenge such as myself, Howard? Perhaps you just can’t handle me.”

“Speaking for me now, are we? Let’s hope you’re right, otherwise I’ll have to prove you wrong in front of your audience.”

Her dealings with chilly mornings are not great. She’s currently under a weighted blanket with a cup of hot chocolate.

“I had no idea, Howard. Color me shocked.”

“Your mission clearly holds the fate of the entire universe. I’ve been told I’m rather unpleasant to be around if I’m not properly entertained.”
