My baby girl has her first big audition today. She’s applying to the Theatre program at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She’s worked hard and is ready for this unique high school experience. I’m grateful just for her to have this process to grow from. Break a leg Lilly!

Wow, look at pretty much any current top streaming charts and you find at least 50% are older songs. Do you see this as today’s music isn’t that great and is disposable, or that the way we now consume music allows for older songs to resurface more frequently?

Was talking w/ my Daughter about mistakes. Her amazing teachers explain they are part of growth. But as an adult, I beat myself up over them. Reminding her it’s ok to make mistakes reminds me too. We can always continue to grow. A mistake to a perfectionist, can help refocus.
