This morning's early light & shadows beautifully highlight the contours of The Lido. Originally situated on the south shore of Long Island, this CB Macdonald gem now thrives a 1000 miles to the west in the sandy landscapes of central Wisconsin at Sand Valley Golf .

Ending an amazing week at Sand Valley Golf on a high note, w/ the late afternoon light at The Lido, is truly special. I'm deeply appreciative of this golf course & the remarkable work of Brian Schneider , Brian Zager Tom Doak & their teams in restoring it to its former glory.

There's going to be a new course in town at Sand Valley Golf coming in 2026. Jim Craig who for years has been coore & crenshaw man on the ground now has his first solo design. And, from the looks of it, it's going to be a really winner.

Lake Geneva CC is the top course on my list that I haven’t seen in WI that I would like to see. If there was anyone able to help, I would happily reciprocate a round somewhere worthy or pay for anything needed! Shoot me a message, comment if able to help!

Nice couple days checking out the renovation/restoration efforts at Jekyll Island’s Great Dunes course, once 18 holes from Walter Travis, reduced to 9 after WWII, essentially forgotten about for decades, and now, back in action thanks to Jeff Stein & Brian Ross + 9 new holes.
