No. The Bible calls no Christians to passivity or silence. The great commission was not only given to men.

Men are told to be gentle as well. So… what would a gentle spirit be if “gentleness” is something men are also meant to have. So certainly not passivity. The use of quiet here is more about not having a tumultuous spirit, anxious or frazzled and agitated.

Someone is doing a disservice to a lot of zealous young men on here who think they have a strong faith but have barely even received the “milk” of shepherding and discipleship and Biblical knowledge.

It’s true. More than any other issues, I think the lack of mentoring and discipleship in the home and local church body has been the single most detrimental problem.

“Lecture” seems to be the buzzword of the moment.

I’m not here to “lecture” men. Certainly not here to put myself in authority over anyone. But I do not think the Bible suggests that I must in every situation sit idly by as people distort the truth of the Christ and the Gospel, just because the person posting it is a man
