Joseph Simons SJ, former pupil & #SchoolTeacher at St Omers, wrote plays for the College published together in 1656. The #SchoolBuildings Stonyhurst have changed over the years! Photos #FromTheArchives show our 1st South Front (1810) and its vast replacement built by Dunn & Hansom in the early 1880s

This print #FromTheArchives, by Guillaume Lorrain Montbard, shows our #SchoolBuildings at St Omers c1689. Facilities were among the best at any school in Europe and included libraries, theatres, chapels, music rooms, apothecary, and even a #slightlysubversive printing press!
