2/4 What started as a conversation in Andy Spens office nearly three years ago is now nearing fruition with stage two of our Flying Home project completed. After 18 months of work at GKN aerospace Bristol, our library plane is in place. Now the final stages are ready to begin.

3/4 This will be to begin the finishing of the outside and then furnishing the inside. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped on this project from the initial idea all those years ago.Thank you to all the parents/carers, family members, governors and the local community..

4/4 who have helped with fundraising and all the grant applications. Thank you if you have been involved in the preparation of the site, the logistics of the move and putting it in place. Still lots to do but we are getting there! The St Helen's Alveston community 'Flying High.'

We were delighted to welcome, Shusma to our school today. Shusma is a Trustee of the Aanandit Charity and Church in Nepal. Shusma talked about her work and the differences with growing up in the Nepal. What a great way to show this term's value of Service.

Our whole school displays showcase the excellence of the children at St Helen's Alveston It was great to see the impact of our Connected Curriculum work, shown in the hall, add to our Curriculum books collection and share all our work on our value of Forgiveness.

A huge thank you to our local PC and PCSO, who came into school today to talk to our older children about Online safety. The talk included reminding children about their responsibilities when playing online and the use of social media.

Some amazing work across Term 3 and 4 - in our Connected Curriculum as the whole school looked at Rights and Responsibilities. Amazing writing and art work. Looking forward to Term 5 and 6.

After years of trying and several near misses in finals and semi-finals, we finally became Glos CCC Dynamos County Champions! Lots of great Thornbury CC children in our team! Well done boys and Mr Leeming!
