The Oconee County High Schools Alumni Association presented $1,000 grants to the Oconee County and North Oconee Agriculture Departments on Monday. The grants will be used for a submitted list of items, equipment, and supplies. #OconeeFamily

Safety and proper behavior are just as important on a school bus as in the classroom. Buses are considered an extension of the schools, and OCS drivers receive some of the same classroom management training as teachers. 1/3

During the first month of each school year, students will learn about safety from drivers, particularly about danger zones when getting on and off the bus. Please talk to your child about what they have learned regarding bus safety and about proper behavior on the bus. 2/3

You can also help by reminding the drivers in your household about the danger zones around a stopped bus and when you can and can't pass. Let's all help students and drivers stay safe each day. #OconeeFamily
