Our latest on-call news. So much going on across the Service; valuing our dedicated on-call firefighters and helping improve on-call appliance availability. Outstanding work by the whole team #oncall #TeamLFRS

Striving for continuous improvement across our on-call. We listen to our teams and help create the right environment for everyone to thrive. Using data to drive improvements, we have led the development of a sector leading on-call recruitment and workforce planning tool.

Success is directly proportionate to what’s done after doing what you’re expected to do! Our on-call teams go from strength to strength as a direct result of Danila Breathnacht & her team going above & beyond! The system is far from broken, we have hundreds applying #TeamLFRS #OnCall

Was such an honour saying a few words (ok, maybe more than a few!) for you, mate. You’ve had an amazing career and have been an outstanding Chief. All the very best for the next chapter. Top man 👏👏🫡@Lancs_FireCFO Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service

Draft figures but nonetheless, shows what can be done when the whole team focuses on a challenge and meets it head on. As I’ve said, the system isn’t broken, it just needs TLC, commitment and a desire to improve. 👏👏Danila Breathnacht and your team.

Great thread from Steve and such an interesting report from Emelie Lantz in relation to on-call firefighters. National Fire Chiefs Council and Home Office are currently supporting UK wide national research on the challenges and longer term potential solutions. Report due in Summer #OnCall

Earlier this week our brilliant Lindsay Sielski BEM talked to our Fire Authority Members on the incredible work she’s developing with our fire dogs. Training our latest recruit Maverick, to follow our indoor drone & lasers in collapsed buildings to help locate casualties #Innovation

Well done Chloe! This is a very important role and goes a long way to meeting the health and welfare needs of our rural communities. There is no reason why this should not be expanded across the country. Institutional inertia is largely to blame.

Great visit to see the team Lytham Fire Station last night. Passionate on-call team, providing emergency cover in their local area, right up the Fylde coast and across Lancashire. So many great ideas about how to deliver the best for our communities #TeamLFRS
