1. The hemorrhagic fever illnesses recently detected in Equatorial Guinea have been confirmed as #Marburg fever, WHO African Region confirmed today. Though there has only been 1 positive test so far, there have been a total of 16 suspected cases, 9 of whom have died.

this makes me angry. in the age of #infodemics and #misinformation, positive intent is choked before projects see the light of day. - despite never saying that they plan to limit travel between nbhds & clarifying the goal is to create more walkable nbhds, misinformation persists.
