I’ve finished reporting the 2021 ASHA convention held in Washington in the Virtual Library. Several SLPs were interested in my study, and there were requests for STAD through its website. All my hard work is finally starting to pay off! Thank you! I’ll keep working on it!

#STAD study was accepted by FPL last month. Although I've spent as many as 8 years, I finally did it! As far as we know, this is the first study on the field of Japanese SLP’s test development to be accepted to an international journal. Download:karger.com/Article/FullTe…

I've posted a blog on #Screening tests for #Neurological #Communicative #Disorders. It's for SLPs who want to try an alternative screener to see if it works better for them. Please check it out↓ researchmap.jp/blogs/blog_ent…

Scoring less than cutoff points on STAD casts doubt on presence of communicative disorders. Figure shows cutoff analysis on data of 20 centers in Japan (92 aphasia, 154 dysarthria, 179 cognitive disorders) and 222 healthy. ✅We estimate CD presence/absence by the STAD cutoffs

The stroke unit where I work is shut down due to COVID-19 infections. In order to avoid infection, whenever I examine patients, the SLPs have to wear masks and eye shields. I know it must be tough for everyone. Hang in there!
