You are clearly making a difference Phoebe Boag! As we all know, one doctor can be the difference if someone lives or dies. Thanks to you, other people in the #NEISvoid now have support and hopefully, our doc is teaching other docs!

I walked into work today (masked) and my colleague said "are you sick...again?!" He meant it as "you can't catch a break" so I just smiled and replied "welcome to life with an autoimmune disease"

Not to brag, but I can breathe out of both nostrils today...most of the time.

Still sick (not covid)...starting week 3. Let's see what the doctor has to say. On the bright side, my students pay closer attention to me because of my sick voice. They want to laugh (it souns funny so I encourage it) and actually hear what I'm saying.

I've learned through Spoon Central how much I love advocating for people and impacting change! Thank you all for being part of my self-discovery journey!

People don't realize that with chronic illnesses, you mourn the life you used to leave and the one you thought you were going to lead but now can't. Every time an illness steals something else from you, you go through the entire process all over again, as if it was the first time

Before leaving for my conference, Luca said "but I don't want you to go to Hogwarts!" I'm proud that he made a Harry Potter reference and honored that he thought I was cool enough to go to Hogwarts!

I went away for a work conference (it was great!) and am now suffering the post-excitement hangover. Brain fog. Unstable mood. Exhaustion. I feel better knowing what it actually is as opposed to thinking something else was wrong. Guess I'm watching zoo shows in pjs today.

After last night's night-sweats, I went through 5 changes of clothes. At work right now, utterly exhausted, but refusing to miss out on an important meeting. I'm currently drinking the lowest caffeine tea I could find (needed a little boost), and it tastes like the smell of A&D.

I feel this so hard right now.
