Another ridiculous attack on universities: the US Sec of Education, who's only claim to fame is promoting her husband's pro wrestling business, says Columbia University doesn’t meet accreditation standards. And btw the Educ Dept doesn't accredit universities. wapo.st/3Sxw530

Not nearly the same thing but I walked a mile (marks thanks to nursing staff on Urology ward Johns Hopkins Medicine) evening of my partial nephrectomy 1 year ago, tks to skill of Sunil Patel MD & team. Foley and JP drain def made that harder, but I know how impt exercise is to recovery.

RFK Jr. went on national TV and spouted egregious, dangerous falsehoods about vaccines. As a parent and infectious diseases doctor, I couldn't stay silent. Fox News might not fact-check him, but I will. I've reviewed the trials. I've catalogued them. I have receipts. 🧵

Risk for #diverticulitis in women? Nuts and seeds: apparently not higher risk. Let's stop the lore (there never was much evidence for that idea). Lower risk with healthier (higher fiber, lower red meat, e.g. DASH) diet. Barlowe T, et al Annals of Int Med acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/AN…

This is by far the most common vaccine I strongly recommend in ID adult clinical practice. As ID doctors, we see some truly severe cases of zoster, with post-zoster sequelae that may last months or even rarely be permanent. Clinical Infectious Diseases doi.org/10.1093/cid/ci…

Fiona Havers, a senior expert at CDC until her resignation in protest days ago, oversaw important databases & helped inform vaccine strategy. RFK Jr's unilateral policy moves, without evidence-based process, were too disturbing. #Respect Johns Hopkins Division of Infectious Diseases CNN share.google/XrjSwr4q8fuBHY…

Hey Syneos Health AnswerSuite - it seems like it might be a violation of #HIPAA if I were to report patient interactions at this frequency. HIPAA law says clinical encounter dates more specific than year are Protected Health Information, AFAIK. Am I mistaken? #PrivacyMatters

nytimes.com/2025/07/12/bus… I’m sharing this article in hopes that it’s instructive. We shouldn’t be in this position. In the words of a United Healthcare representative quoted hereā€¦ā€the truth mattersā€. I couldn’t agree more.

Of all RFK Jr's dangerously wrong opinions - his attack on HPV vaccines is the worst (and that really is saying something) HPV vaccines like Gardasil PREVENT cancer - so effectively that cervical cancer is on the way to ELIMINATION in places like Scotland, Sweden and Australia.
