This week is Aromantic Awareness Week in the UK, which marks a time to acknowledge and appreciate amazing aromantic people. Romance is not for everyone and that is perfectly valid, there are many different forms of love that are often overlooked in our society

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! Wishing all of our trans members a lovely day, and a reminder that Southampton LGBTQ+ society stands with you always. Today is also a great opportunity for cis people to reflect on what they can do to support the trans people in their lives.

With all of your support, we managed to raise over £700 for the wonderful Beyond Reflections (formerly Chrysalis) during our charity livestream on Sunday. Everyone who took part, whether by sharing, donating, watching along or streaming helped us make this event as fantastic as it was, so thank you!

May 17th marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. The Day represents a major global annual landmark to draw the attention of decision makers to the alarming situation faced by people with diverse sexual and gender identities. #IDAHOBIT

Happy Agender Pride Day! Today we celebrate all of our peers who identify as agender: not having a gender identity. It is an identity which falls under the non-binary umbrella, and you may have heard alternative terms used such as genderless or genderfree. #AgenderPrideDay

Come along to The Bridge on Monday 23rd & 30th, 12-3pm to study (or procrastinate) and catch up with friends over coffee at Laptops 'n' Lattes!

We've got even more thanks to give this week! This time it's a big shout out to the University of Southampton LGBTQ+ Society society, whose live stream raised a staggering £700 for Beyond Reflections. Your support promotes our vision of a world where every person can be free to be their authentic self.
