Got to review #Longlegs: a twisted, totally thrilling thing to experience in a packed cinema. Osgood Perkins delivers jumpscares that will get you good, Cage is a marvel, Maika Monroe endlessly empathetic. Read my Empire Magazine review ⬇️
Today was a double-podder. With a third recorded right in the middle. The Quiet Place Day One spoiler with Sophie Butcher and Becky Darke is a belter, featuring a great Ben Travis interview with Michael Sarnoski, some heartfelt emotion, and a bit where I scat myself.
Huge props to Beth Webb Chris Hewitt Sophie Butcher & Ben Travis for the spot-on film choices and intros. And colossal kudos to Sam Clements and the Picturehouse Central team, as ever, for being perfect hosts and so great to work with. Thanks again to everyone who came!
On the bus home after the Picturehouse Central All-Nighter. What a ridiculous, delirious time. You haven’t *really* seen Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar until you’ve seen it in a cinema, at 4am, immediately after The Descent. Huge thanks to Sam Clements and Team Picturehouse team!
Bloody brilliant read from Ben Travis, which has fully convinced me to kick off a Lost rewatch now that it’s on Netflix ⬇️
I HATE THIS. Leslye Headland, the first woman to create a Star Wars series, tapped into something fresh and exciting in the fandom with S1 and while I had my notes she absolutely deserved a second season to let those ideas cook. We all lose with this. deadline.com/2024/08/the-ac…
