Donald Trump is a threat to our liberty, our Constitution, and the Rule of Law.

Pres. Trump tweeting an unhinged conspiracy theory about an older gentleman severely hurt in Buffalo is not a political story. It defies any effort at rationalization or explanation. The problem is not that he tweeted it. The problem is he entertains this insanity.

So. Let's set the stage... President Trump has chosen as the venue for his first rally in months, Tulsa, Oklahoma, site of a horrific massacre of African Americans. And he has set the date for June 19th, Juneteenth, a celebration of the end of slavery in the United States.

If your rallies come with a liability waiver, you shouldn’t be holding them.

We shouldn’t be surprised that coronavirus remains a highly contagious infectious disease that thrives when people gather, especially in close quarters, indoors, without masks. That is scientific reality. It is what it is. The question is: what are we going to do about it?

I pray that tomorrow in Tulsa there is no violence. I pray it doesn’t lead to a further spike in illness. But make no mistake. President Trump bears responsibility for whatever happens. He is provoking and inciting a confrontation with glee.

I’m beginning to think “hindsight is 2020” was some kind of message from a future time traveler that we all misunderstood.
