If fossil fuel companies want to be part of #ClimateAction solutions, they must lead the transition to renewable energy. No more dirty production. No more fake solutions. No more bankrolling climate denial.

Governments found billions to cope with the energy crisis and to finance the war with Russia (btw, we also finance indirectly the enemy). It'll cost incomparably less to provide loans for the clean energy transition.

Interesting discussion today at the EP on #geothermal. We see an increasing awareness about the relevance of #renewables for #heating and #cooling. Solar Heat Europe sees this as a positive development to increase awareness that #HeatisHalf and we have #RES solutions in Europe.

Interesting discussions at "Paper & Beyond", organised by Cepi. It's encouraging to see the exemplary role in decarbonisation of the #EU #paper industry. Even happier to see participants placing #solarthermal 🔆 as one of the main options, with bioenergy and electricity.

Two clear messages that are essential to retain on the decarbonisation of heat supply to industry (not only pulp and paper) : solutions integrating different energy sources, #solarthermal as part of those solutions. Great testimonial from Rodrigo Alvarez from ASPAPEL.

It's essential to remember that there are other solutions needed in parallel that also complement electrification. If we don't look into such synergies, including #solarheat, not even the doubling of the grid will suffice.
