Agree, the days of believing a single vector rep is all you need is over.

Zero shot isn't a free lunch. It just means you skipped the one-line "sklearn fit" step, and traded it off for a black-box inscrutable model that could change tomorrow... And you need the labeled data anyway to eval the zero shot...

From my own experience in tech, I know that the vast majority of software engineers are really, really, bad at understanding a) scientific thinking, and b) human interactions and behaviors. There are whole tech giants who are willfully ignorant about both of those.
